The Mayor is charged with the day to day operation of the City and to make sure that all aspects of the city are run according to the ordinances (laws) that govern the City. The mayor makes the budget each year and has it approved by the Council.
The Council is responsible for making the laws that govern the city and assisting the city in whatever ways that are warranted.
